Retirement in Canada deals with the many issues we Canadians must consider such as early retirement and those financial and social programs that impact our retirement.
Travel and Leisure is a topic so wide we’d be drowned in the noise from pop-up windows on web pages to special offers to tour Italy from some assoication or simply watching travel TV. The LifePast50 Travel & Leisure theme, therefore is getting more bang for your buck.
Golf can be frustrating but our perspective will be to discuss value – getting more bang for you golfing dollar. Read course reviews as rated against our course evaluation criteria. We’ll identify great places to play that offer both challenge and value.
Financing (your LifePast50) is always a hot topic and we do not intend to become financial advisors or to duplicate the zillions of investment and financial information sites. We do, however, want to share information and ideas to save on what we spend and make a few extra $ with our demographics in mind.
A 2nd Career may be a necessity given the recent market meltdown for as a friend explained he finally understood the meaning of “liquidity” . Apparently he wets himself whenever he opens his mutual fund statements. On the other hand, many are embarking on second careers to keep busy or do something they’ve always wanted to try.
Social and Lifestyle LifePast50 this is not, repeat not, a social website or an on-line dating service. But we do want to explore those topics that affect us socially and how we live from day to day. Whether it is finding an athletically suitable hockey league for us oldtimers or a mature woman taking up golf – we won’t analyze your swing but can get ideas on how to approach lifestyle issues.
