Buying Telecom Services

I’ve defined Telecom Services as just about every communication or entertainment service you use over a wireline or over the airwaves including:
- everyday home phone and long distance
- cel phones and their complicated billing plans
- cable or satellite television and
- Internet access
Together these can add up to substantial amounts – month after month!  We can do a lot to save on services individually and collectively.  Let’s get your input, suggestions and real actual experience to help save LifePast50 users $.

I’ll start with my own experience
beginning with an initial inventory of
- two home phones (one for my primary residence and one at the cottage)
- two cel phones (mine and my wife’s)
- two TV services, cable at home and Satellite at the cottage
- two Internet access services; cable based at home and dial-up for the cottage.
In total we were spending an average of $475 per month for Telecom Services.  Yikes!
That’s equivalent to Swiss Chalet every night for three weeks..maybe not!  How about a plane ticket somewhere nice – every month!  Follow my story to see what I’ve done and don’t be shy sending in your thoughts.
