Using the internet to dig up information proves its worth almost every day.  Just doing a Google search on “golf” will return about 427 million hits (based upon my April 2008 test).  Like we all have time to go over 427 million Google results.

This page will highlight golf related websites and blogs that I’ve reviewed – so maybe you can save some time.  When I find a golf related website or blog useful, I’ll make note of it here.  As with my course reviews, I’ll be looking for good golf value.

ottawagolf.com – A handy and free website that identifies almost all courses in Eastern Ontario, including courses on the Quebec and Ontario side, around Ottawa.  I use the website to quickly look up pro shop phone #’s when I book tee times.  In the spring it lists the projected course opening dates so you can easily plan to scratch that golf itch that has been bugging you during the winter.  The site also includes other features which some will find useful – I use the handicapping feature – an easy to use record of your rounds.

GolfingGreys.com – A Canadian website dedicated to attaining golf value for the over 50 crowd.  The website provides interesting information and golf discounts associated with courses in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.  They have plans to expand their coverage.

SwingKeeper.com – a website that provides users with an easy and affordable way to manage and improve your golf game online.  You can track your game and equipment, calculate your handicap, and obtain course information covering over 18,000 courses in North America.  As a member you can record your scores, track shot details, and produce stats and graphs to help you dissect and analyze your game.  An interesting feature not seen on other sites allows you to track your club usage – letting you easily identify club effectiveness.  For a very small and affordable fee you can take advantage of the golf statistical details produced to identify weak areas in your game and work to improve your shots and scores. golfblogger.com – Golfblogger's Golf Directory – a golf information source that provides golf news, daily golf blog postings with  reviews, opinions and essays on golf.  The posts provide interesting reading and cover a wide range of topics.  Check back often to read the new material added to the site.  The site provides an collection of golf related information covering a wide range of topics and issues.  The site also includes a variety of ads which will link you to specialized golf related products and service providers.
